So how hard is it to use peel and sticks. Here are some hints:
Wash wall and make sure it is dry. For newlycolored walls let paint "thouroughly dry" for 10 to 15 days before to installing decals. Even if new paint feels dry, it may nevertheless need to settle and completelydry. Peel and Stick Wall Decals are not recommended on "Orange Peel" textured walls, over cinder blocks, very uneven and permeable surfaces, wallpaper or delicate surfaces. Wall stickers are OK to use on tile as long as the surface is thoroughly clean and completelydry during application. Make sure the design element does not overlap grout area as water mightfilter under and damage the adhesive. Apply onto shower walls, provided that they are positionedtightly onto the surface area so watercan'treach under the design element. Once applied, RoomMates should notmove even if sprayed by shower.
Vinyl wall decals shouldn't be placed in a dishwater or microwave and they shouldn't be placed on rugs, fabrics and any other textiles. Textile fibers may stick to the adhesive and damage the product. Also, neverposition at the base or inside the tub. Water could seepbeneath the peel and stick too easily and would compromise the adhesive. When putting on, make sure you begin from one side (for the border) or the top (for the appliques) of each element. Keep the rest of the element separate from the wall/surface. Gradually go straight down over the product with your hand and smooth the element onto surface (and press the bubbles out as you go). Once put on you ought to be able to move any excess bubbles out by pressing/smoothing them out of the element. If the problemcontinues (this would onlyhappen with the giant decals), you can punch a teeny (invisible to the eye) hole with a pin to drive the air out.
In all, it is alwaysbest to check wall decals in an inconspicuous area. If the surface area is textured, operation could be criticallyreduced. Make certain surface is clean of dust and dirt or you may compromise the adhesive and damage the product. Recreation |
